Banana Chocolate Chip Overnight Oats

Equipment

  • 1 12 oz jar or other container with a tight-fitting lid.
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons

Ingredients

  • ½ Medium Ripe Banana
  • ½ Cup Non-Dairy Milk
  • ½ Cup Old-Fashioned Rolled Oats
  • 1 tablespoon Chia Seeds
  • 2 teaspoon Mini Chocolate Chips plus more for topping
  • ¼ teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Toppings of choice: banana slices, berries, peanut butter, cacao nibs, etc.

Instructions

  • Into a container that has a tight fitting lid add the banana and mash it well.
    ½ Medium Ripe Banana
  • Add the non-dairy milk, rolled oats, chia seeds, mini chocolate chips and vanilla to the jar.
    ½ Cup Non-Dairy Milk, ½ Cup Old-Fashioned Rolled Oats, 1 tablespoon Chia Seeds, 2 teaspoon Mini Chocolate Chips, ¼ teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Place the lid onto the jar and shake until everything is well mixed. Them, place the container in the refrigerator overnight.
  • In the morning, stir the oats, then add any additional toppings you desire and serve!
    Toppings of choice: banana slices, berries, peanut butter, cacao nibs, etc.

Notes

You can use quick oats for this recipe but don't use instant or steel-cut oatmeal.
I recommend only prepping one of these at a time because the banana will oxidize!
