French Toast

  • 4 Slices Bread
  • 3/4 Cup Non-dairy milk I used So Delicious coconut milk
  • 1/4 Cup Garbanzo Bean Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • Pinch Salt
  • non-dairy butter or pan spray for the pan
  • Toppings like: maple syrup, non dairy butter, compote, peanut butter, etc.


  • Lightly toast your slices of bread to dry them out a bit.
  • While the bread is toasting, coconut milk, garbanzo flour, vanilla, cinnamon and salt in a shallow bowl. Whisk the mixture until smooth.
  • Place a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat. Wait for the skillet to heat up for about a minute. Either coat the bottom with pan spray or a bit of non dairy butter.
  • Working one at a time, dunk as many slices of bread as you can good on your pan. Be sure to dunk the slices front and back.
  • Place on the pan and let cook for about 3 minutes, or until brown. Then flip and cook about 3 more minutes, or until the second side is brown.
  • Serve with non dairy butter, berry compote or maple syrup or however you prefer your french toast!
