1 Espresso Machine or Moka Pot or Nespresso
1 1 Quart Saucepan
1 12 oz Container with Tight Fitting Lid

For the Brown Sugar Syrup
- 1 Cup Light Brown Sugar, tightly packed
- 1 Cup Water
- 1 Large Cinnamon Stick
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
For the Shaken Espresso
- 2 Shots Brewed Espresso this is about 2 ounces
- 2 teaspoon Brown Sugar Syrup
- 1 Pinch Ground Cinnamon
- ½ Cup Oat Milk
- Ice
Make the Brown Sugar Syrup
In a small sauce pan, combine brown sugar, water and a cinnamon stick. Stir to combine, then place the saucepan over medium heat. Bring the mixture to a boil, then allow it to boil for 1 minute or until no sugar granules remain.

Remove from heat, and add vanilla extract. Allow the syrup to cool slightly, then transfer to a heat-safe container and store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

For the Iced Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Espresso
In a 12oz jar with a tight fitting lid, combine brewed espresso, brown sugar syrup and cinnamon. Add a few large ice cubes, then place the lid onto the container and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
2 Shots Brewed Espresso, 2 teaspoon Brown Sugar Syrup, 1 Pinch Ground Cinnamon, Ice
Remove the lid and add the oat milk. Stir and add a few more ice cubes. Top with another sprinkle of cinnamon and enjoy!

The brown sugar syrup makes about 1 ¼ cups of syrup. Plenty of syrup for about 20 coffees!
If you like your coffee sweeter, adjust the sweetness by adding a couple more teaspoons of brown sugar syrup.
Be sure to use a sturdy jar that has a tight fitting lid or you will end up with espresso all over the place!
