- 1 Cup Water
- ½ Cup Brown Sugar, tightly packed
- ½ Cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 ½ tablespoon Whole Green Cardamom Pods See Note
In a 2-quart pot, combine water, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cardamom pods. Place the pot over medium heat and bring the mixture to a full boil, stirring occasionally.
1 Cup Water, ½ Cup Brown Sugar, tightly packed, ½ Cup Granulated Sugar, 1 ½ tablespoon Whole Green Cardamom Pods
Allow the mixture to boil until all of the sugar granules have dissolved, about 30 seconds to 1 minute. Then, remove the pot from the heat and place the lid on top.
Allow the mixture to steep for 15 minutes. Then, remove the lid and pour the mixture through a fine mesh seive into a heat-safe container.
Store the cardamom syrup in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.
