Rose Water Latte

This Rose Water Latte is a delicious way to start the day! Rose water syrup is combined with espresso and milk for a simple, unique latte that you can make at home.

Equipment

  • 1 Small Saucepan
  • 1 Espresso Machine or Nespresso Machine
  • 1 Steaming Wand Or Milk Warming and Frothing Pitcher

Ingredients

For the Rose Water Syrup

  • ¾ Cup Granulated Sugar
  • ¾ Cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Rose Water see note!

For the Rose Water Latte

  • 1 Double Shot Brewed Espresso See note
  • ¾ Cup Non-Dairy Milk I like oat milk!
  • 1 tablespoon Rose Water Syrup

Instructions

Make the Rose Water Syrup

  • Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring the mixture to a boil and allow it to boil for 1 minute or until all of the sugar granules have dissolved.
    ¾ Cup Granulated Sugar, ¾ Cup Water
  • Remove the syrup from the heat and add rose water. Stir, then transfer to a heat-safe container with an airtight lid. Use immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.
    1 tablespoon Rose Water

To Make a Latte

  • Brew a double shot of espresso using your preferred machine.
    1 Double Shot Brewed Espresso
  • Heat and froth milk using either the steam wand on your espresso machine or in an electric frothing kettle.
    ¾ Cup Non-Dairy Milk
  • Pour espresso and rose water syrup into a mug and stir. Add frothed milk and serve! See note!
    1 tablespoon Rose Water Syrup

Notes

Make sure your rose water is meant to be consumed! There are many rose water toners and sprays that are meant for skincare on the market!
I used a Breville Espresso Machine to pull a double shot, but you can also use a Nespresso machine or even a Moka Pot.
I used an Electric Milk Frother to warm and froth the Oat Milk.
If you like your coffee pretty sweet, you may want more rose water syrup!
