- 3 tablespoon Maple Syrup Not pancake syrup!
- ½ teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 Large Banana, sliced into ¼" slices see note
- 1 tablespoon Butter I used Miyoko's plant butter
In a 10" stainless steel skillet over medium heat, combine maple syrup and cinnamon. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Allow the mixture to boil for 1 minute.
3 Tbsp Maple Syrup, ½ tsp Cinnamon
Add the sliced banana and cook, gently stirring occasionally for 1-2 minutes or until the banana slices begin to soften and are coated with the syrup mixture.
1 Large Banana, sliced into ¼" slices
Then, remove from the heat and add the butter. Stir gently to combine and serve immediately.
1 Tbsp Butter
The banana should be just yellow! It should have little to no brown spots. If the banana is too ripe it will break apart during the cooking process.
It is important to stir constantly in the first step so the cinnamon doesn't burn!
