Ingredients

  • 1 Large Apple see note
  • 3 tablespoon Maple Syrup

Instructions

  • Peel and core the apple and chop it into ¼ inch cubes. See note.
    1 Large Apple
  • Add the chopped apple, maple syrup, cinnamon and salt to a 10-inch stainless steel skillet.
3 tablespoon Maple Syrup, ½ teaspoon Cinnamon, 1 Pinch Salt
  • Place the skillet over medium high heat and cook, stirring occasionally until the maple syrup has thickened and the apples are soft, but not mushy. This will take 4-5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat, and add the vegan butter. Stir until combined and serve warm with pancakes, oatmeal or ice cream!

Notes

I used Cosmic Crisp, but I also recommend Honeycrisp or Granny Smith!
I like to chop my apples pretty small for this recipe. You can chop the apples larger if you prefer. The recipe will still work.
