French Gimlet

This French Gimlet only requires gin, elderflower liqueur and lime juice! It is simple, elegant and so easy to make. It is the perfect easy cocktail to serve at any Holiday party or get-together.

Equipment

  • 1 Cocktail Shaker
  • 1 Coupe Glass or Rocks Glass
  • 1 Jigger Glass or other way to measure

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Gin
  • 1 oz Elderflower Liqueur I like St. Germain
  • .75 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • Ice

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the gin, elderflower liqueur and lime juice into the shaker.
    2 oz Gin, 1 oz Elderflower Liqueur, .75 oz Fresh Lime Juice, Ice
  • Place the lid on and shake vigorously for 15 seconds. Strain straight up in a coupe glass or in a rocks glass over fresh ice.
  • Garnish with a lime wheel and serve.

Notes

Be sure to shake the cocktail vigorously for 15 seconds. Your hands should feel really cold!
If you are making this French Gimlet cocktail for a crowd, squeeze the limes in advance to make the process seamless and fast!
