Equipment

  • 1 Small Saucepan
  • 1 Fine Mesh Strainer
  • 1 Espresso Machine, Nespresso Machine or Moka Pot
  • 1 Hand-Held Milk Frother
  • 1 Large Mug

Ingredients

Lavender Simple Syrup

  • 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 4 teaspoon Dried Lavender Flowers

For the Latte

  • 2 Shots Brewed Espresso this is about 2 ounces
  • 1 tablespoon Lavender Syrup
  • ¾ Cup Oat Milk

Instructions

For the Lavender Syrup

  • In a small saucepan, combine sugar, water and lavender flowers. Place the saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Allow the mixture to boil for 1 minute, then place the lid on the pot and allow the lavender to steep for 15 minutes.
1 Cup Granulated Sugar, 1 Cup Water, 4 teaspoon Dried Lavender Flowers
  • Pour the syrup into a container through a fine mesh strainer. Use a spoon to press the lavender flowers to release any liquid they are holding on to. Use immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

For the Lavender Latte

  • Use an espresso machine, Nespresso machine or a moka pot to brew two shots of espresso.
    2 Shots Brewed Espresso
  • In a large mug, combine the espresso and lavender syrup.
    1 tablespoon Lavender Syrup
  • Either use a steam wand to warm and froth the oat milk, or heat the oat milk in a microwave until hot and use a hand-held milk frother to froth it up. Then, pour it over the espresso and serve!
    ¾ Cup Oat Milk

Notes

To make this Lavender Oat Milk Latte iced, pour the lavender syrup and espresso into a glass, then fill the glass with ice. Next, top it off with oat milk and give it a stir.
I am partial to the Moka Pot to brew my espresso.
If you have an espresso machine with a steam wand, use it to froth your oat milk! If not, hand held milk frother will work.
