Special Equipment
You need some type of espresso maker for this Lavender Latte recipe, whether its an espresso machine, a Nespresso or a Moka Pot.
I have a tiny kitchen, so I am partial to the Moka Pot.
If you have an espresso machine with a steam wand, use it to froth your oat milk! If not, hand held milk frother will work.
Instructions
Step 1. First make the lavender syrup. In a small saucepan, combine sugar, water and dried lavender.
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat and allow it to boil for one minute.
Then, place a lid on the pot and allow the mixture to steep for 15 minutes.
Step 2. Next, pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a container with a tight-fitting lid.
Use the back of a spoon to press the lavender to release any liquid they are holding on to.
Use the syrup immediately, or store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Step 3. Combine espresso and lavender syrup in a large mug.
Step 4. Use a steam wand to heat and froth the oat milk, or heat it in the microwave and use a hand-held milk frother to froth it up.
Finally, pour the warm, frothy oat milk over the espresso and serve your delicious Lavender Oat Milk Latte.
