Lavender Simple Syrup

- 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 Cup Water
- 4 teaspoon Dried Lavender See Note!
Combined sugar, water and dried lavender in a small saucepan.
1 Cup Granulated Sugar, 1 Cup Water, 4 teaspoon Dried Lavender
Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally. Allow the mixture to boil for 1 minute. See Note!
Remove the pot from heat and place a lid on top. Allow the mixture to steep for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes, remove the lid and pour the mixture through fine mash strainer into a container that has a tight fitting lid. Use the back of a spoon to press the lavender flowers to remove the liquid they are holding onto. That liquid is the most flavorful!
Use immediately, or place a lid onto the container and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Be sure to use culinary grade lavender. There should be NO added flavors or fragrances.
When you bring the syrup to a boil, make sure there are no remaining sugar granules that have not been dissolved.
If you see remaining sugar granules, give the mixture a stir and allow it to boil for a few more seconds.
