Tequila Smash
This Tequila Smash recipe is a delicious tequila cocktail for Summer. It is made with fresh lime and orange juice, mint, and club soda for a little fizz. It is juicy and so refreshing!

- ¾ oz Fresh Lime Juice
- ¾ oz Fresh Orange Juice
- ½ oz Agave Nectar
- 4 Medium Mint Leaves
- 2 oz Tequila Blanco
- 2 oz Club Soda
- Ice
- Mint Sprig and Lime Wedge to Garnish if Desired
Into a cocktail shaker, add lime juice, orange juice, agave nectar, and mint leaves. Muddle the mint leaves, using a muddler or wooden spoons, until they are bruised.
¾ oz Fresh Lime Juice, ¾ oz Fresh Orange Juice, ½ oz Agave Nectar, 4 Medium Mint Leaves
Add tequila to the shaker, then fill it with ice. Place the lid on and shake the mixture vigorously for 30 seconds.
2 oz Tequila Blanco
Strain the cocktail into a 12-ounce glass that is filled with fresh ice. Top with club soda and stir gently. Garnish with a sprig of mint and a lime wedge and serve.

If you don't have agave nectar, you can use simple syrup.
I like to squeeze citrus into small containers and measure from there instead of calling for muddling a lime or orange wedge because each piece of fruit has a different amount of juice.
So while this may seem like an extra step, it gives you a more consistent cocktail.
