Caramelized Peaches are sautéed with maple syrup and cinnamon and are the perfect topping for pancakes, oatmeal, or ice cream! And, they only require 4 ingredients and 10 minutes to make.

Caramelized fruit is my favorite topping for oatmeal! I love to make Caramelized Apples or Caramelized Bananas because they are quick and easy and add so much flavor to an otherwise boring breakfast.

And this Summer, I'll be making these Caramelized Peaches on repeat! They only require 4 ingredients and under 10 minutes to make, and they are delicious on oats, pancakes, French toast, or even served on top of ice cream or a slice of pound cake. So let's make them.

    Why You'll Love This Recipe

    • This recipe only requires 4 simple ingredients.
    • And it is ready in under 10 minutes!
    • These Caramelized Peaches are vegan and gluten-free, so anyone can enjoy them.
    • They are packed with flavor from juicy ripe peaches and cinnamon.
    • And most importantly, they are absolutely delicious!

    Ingredients

Ingredients for making this recipe in small bowls on a marble surface.

Fresh Peaches: Fresh peaches are one of my favorite fruits. I love to use them to make Vegan Peach Cobbler or a batch of Peach Muffins. Do not substitute canned or frozen peaches. Your Caramelized Peaches will end up mushy.

Maple Syrup: Use pure maple syrup for this recipe. No pancake syrup!

Cinnamon: The combination of cinnamon, peaches and maple syrup is so delicious.

Butter: I used Miyokos Plant Butter for this recipe.

    How to Cut the Peaches

Peaches cut in half on a wooden cutting board.

Step 1. Carefully run a knife around the pit of the peach.

Then, use your hands to gently twist the peach until one side releases from the pit.

Step 2. Next, pull the pit out of the other side.

Then, chop the peach into cubes.

    Instructions

Boiling maple syrup in a saute pan.

Step 1. Combine maple syrup and cinnamon in a saucepan over medium heat.

Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Then, allow it to boil for 1 minute.

Step 2. Add the chopped peaches, and cook for 2-4 minutes, stirring frequently.

The peaches should be tender but not completely soft.

Then, remove from heat and add the non-dairy butter. Stir to combine and serve the Caramelized Peaches as desired.

    What to Serve Them With

    • Serve on top of a bowl of hot oatmeal or overnight oats.
    • Use them to top pancakes.
    • Serve them on a slice of Vegan Pound Cake.
    • Spoon them over a scoop of ice cream.
    • Or serve them over French toast!

    Recipe FAQs

How should I store these caramelized peaches?

Scoop the peaches into an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

Does cooking peaches make them sweeter?

Yes. Cooking any fruit makes it sweeter because it concentrates the sugars!

    Expert Recipe Tips

If you want the peaches to be softer, sauté them a little longer. And if you want them to be firmer, cook them less!
