Ingredients
Fresh Blueberries: I used fresh, but you can also use frozen blueberries. Just defrost them first!
Lemon Juice: Use fresh lemon juice, here. The stuff in the bottle never tastes the same.
Dried Lavender Flowers: Be sure to get culinary grade lavender flowers! There should be no added flavors or fragrances.
Club Soda: I love to add something fizzy to my cocktails and mocktails like my Pineapple Mojito Mocktail. Did you know club soda, soda water, sparkling water and seltzer are all the same thing? Whatever you choose to call it, this Blueberry Lavender Mocktail needs some fizz!
Instructions
Step 1. Combine sugar, water and dried lavender flowers in a small saucepan.
Place the pan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally. Then, allow the mixture to boil for 1 minute.
Next, remove the pan from heat and place a lid on top. Allow the mixture to steep for 15 minutes.
Step 2. Now, pour the lavender simple syrup into a container through a fine mesh strainer.
Use the back of a spoon to press the flowers to release any syrup they are holding on to.
Use the syrup immediately, or store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
Step 3. Add the blueberries and lemon juice into a glass.
Gently muddle with a spoon to break the blueberries up.
Step 4. Then, add the lavender syrup, clud soda and ice.
Gently stir the Blueberry Lavender Mocktail and serve!
Recipe FAQs
You can replace alcohol with non-alcoholic spirits like those from Ritual Zero Proof. Or, you can replace them with other flavors like simple syrups and fruit juices or muddled herbs.
Blueberry is delicious with so many flavors like lemon, lime, orange, vanilla, mint, pineapple, thyme, lavender, rose and so much more!
I love to use club soda as the base for mocktails because I love a little fizz! And it keeps the mocktail from becoming just a glass of juice.
Expert Recipe Tips
Be gentle when muddling the blueberries in the bottom of the glass! And take the time to break them up really well, so their flavor can carry through the Blueberry Lavender Mocktail.
